As much as we would love for all homes to be energy efficient, this often isn’t the case. The fact is that many houses simply aren’t made to be energy efficient because they were built during an era in which this wasn’t a great concern for many. While some new subdivisions even require that the homes built within them are energy efficient, older homes may need to be overhauled to be truly energy efficient. The issue this causes is that your bills will be higher no matter what you do. For a lot of people, this is understandably frustrating, and something that you won’t want to deal with; so why not buy a new home to avoid it?
